A China Southern Airlines Co Ltd Airbus A330 lands in Wuhan, Hubei region. According to Airbus, the catalogue cost of one Airbus A330-300 aircraft is $188 million. China Southern Airlines Co Ltd, the major carrier in Asia by fleet, said on 5th Wednesday 2012 that it had signed an acquirement agreement with Airbus SAS to acquire 10 A330-300 aircraft.
The attainment of the wide-body aircraft for average and long-haul routes, which will be delivered from 2014 to 2016, will "make easy the internationalization of the company", the carrier supposed. According to Airbus, the catalogue worth of one Airbus A330-300 aircraft is $188 million.
China Southern alleged the amount it will pay, partly through financing planning with banking institutions and partly in cash, is inferior to the catalog price. The airline said the new aircraft will help it to optimize its convoy structures and maximize operational efficiency.
