Malaysia based small cost carrier Air Asia has placed an order for hundred more Airbus aircraft. Even previous to this new agreement, Air Asia was Airbus’ best client in the world for A320 jets. The 100 new planes bring Air Asia's whole Airbus A320 orders to 475. UK Prime Minister David Cameron presides over the official signing service at the UK Airbus wing manufacturing facility in Broughton for the statements US$9.3 billion contract.
Airbus President and CEO Fabrice Brégier supposed in a journalists statement. The new order comprises 36 A320 with the present engine option and 64 A320 jets featuring the new engine option with 15% lower fuel consumption.
