Boeing misplaces 12 aeroplane orders

Boeing declares orders for 12 jets have been cancelled, together with orders for four of its most profitable planes.

The company says clients canceled orders for three 777s and one of its postponed 787s. The company refused to say who cancelled the orders.

It also misplaced orders for eight of its 737s. Boeing makes more of that small- to midsize plane than any other type.

Boeing's weekly organize update on Thursday showed that it also expanded four new orders for 737s.

The cancelled 777 and 787 orders would have been value at least US$882 million ($1.2 billion) at list prices, even though discounts are regular. The smaller, cheaper 737s sell for US$57 million to US$86 million each at catalog prices.
