Thai Airways supposed on Monday its offer of 483.87 million share to presented shareholders and the public to increase THB15 billion baht (USD$488 million) had sold out.
The segment set away for retail sponsors was twice oversubscribed; the national mover said in a report, adding up the new shares would start dealing on September 28, two days former than expected.
"Most of the accessible shareholders used their rights," the airline said.
On Monday, shares in Thai Airways stopped up 5.13 percent at 41 baht payable to prospect the share sale would be a success, whereas the main Thai catalog fell 0.06 percent.
The shares were sold to shareholders at 31 baht each, a 14.5 discount to the market price last week. The earnings will be used to repay debt, make stronger the airline's financial status and support its business growth.
Several 246.93 million shares were presented to the Finance Ministry to allocate it to sustain its 51.03 percent stake.
An additional 221.83 million were offered to existing shareholders other than the Finance Ministry at a proportion of 0.2667 new share for every one held and regarding 15.11 million shares were sold to retail investors.
